The CORMAK HBS260 horizontal metal bandsaw with a pivoting arm enables cutting perpendicular to the material axis and at any angle within the range of 0° to 60°. The material can be fed manually or by any mechanical device, while the tool feed operates automatically. The blade guides are fitted with special carbide plates and bearings, which have a significant influence on the blade’s guidance, service life, straightness, accuracy and cutting quality. The carbide guidance system greatly reduces machine and blade wear. The machine is equipped with an efficient coolant pump with a closed coolant circulation system.
The saw arm is made from a single cast-iron element, and with the use of a 27 mm wide cutting blade, it enables series cutting of both profiles and solid materials. The vice is mounted on an adjustable base and features a quick-clamping system. The blade guides are fitted with hard metal (carbide) plates and rolling bearing systems. These carbide guides are responsible for the cutting precision and straightness.
The upper part of the base is shaped as a tray for draining coolant and collecting chips generated during the cutting process.
