Sharpening your drill bit is completed in three steps:
1. Clamp the drill bit in the fixture
2. Grind the drill bit
3. Point/sharpen the drill bit tip
Ready in less than a minute!
Before clamping the drill bit, use the rotary knob on the grinding machine to set the required drill diameter. With the appropriate collet, the drill bit is positioned against the stop in the left holder of the machine and clamped in place.
Sharpening the cutting edges and pointing the tip is straightforward: power on the machine, insert the fixture with the drill into the right holder, and turn gently from stop to stop – the first cutting edge is done. Then, rotate the fixture 180° to grind the second cutting edge.
Pointing the tip works the same way, using the top holder. That’s it – simply switch off the machine and unclamp the drill bit.
A brilliant design combines an eccentric mechanism with a specially engineered grinding wheel, so there’s no need to worry about edge profile or clearance angle. Additionally, both cutting edges are produced with exactly the same setting, guaranteeing perfect edge symmetry. The tip angle can also be freely selected between 90° and 140° before grinding.
21 highly precise collets for diameters from 3 to 13 mm in 0.5 mm increments ensure truly concentric clamping.
The service life of the grinding wheel exceeds 5,000 applications. Besides the standard CBN grinding wheel for HSS tools, we also offer a diamond grinding wheel for carbide drills. Changing the wheel takes just a few moments and two safety switches prevent unintended start-up when the machine is open.
The compact design and practical carrying handle make this drill bit grinding machine ideal for mobile use. All system tools, such as collets, fixtures or hex wrenches, are stored on the machine itself—so everything you need is always at hand.
