My equipment is from the 90s, and I got it from a shipyard that had produced nuclear-powered submarines where this particular equipment was on standby, but was never used for anything other than testing and training. A new piece of equipment with only one welding head and the same functions (AVC and oscillation) quickly costs from the very cheapest some €75.000 and up- of course without bevelling machines. I bought the equipment for use on a job that never materialised (!), and because I had 4 other orbital machines from before, this was rarely used. Now I am stopping working with orbital welding after 50 years in the industry, and continue as a consultant and supplier. This gives me time to load the equipment into a cabinet trailer, connect it to my camper and deliver it anywhere.
