Description
The KS 652 is a double-column, semi-automatic band saw designed as the ideal working tool for professionals who need to cut bars, pipes, profiles, and other metal structural elements — with the ability to cut at angles up to 60° to the left and right.
Machine description:
Band saws from the KS series are the only machines in their class that allow cutting both to the left and right — simply set and clamp the vise. Once the material is positioned, the operator can set the angle and rotate the bow without reopening the vise or repositioning the bar. The vise moves transversely along the worktable, ensuring quick access.
The cutting frame structure, made of electro-welded tubular steel, guarantees high stability during cutting.
Like all IMET band saws, the KS model is equipped with high blade tension (2000 kg/cm²) and a 6° inclined saw, which improves material feed, reduces load, and optimizes cutting even for large cross-sections and solid materials.
A wide worktable provides full support for the material. The machine is highly user-friendly and easy to operate thanks to the automatic stop system in the 0°–60° left/right range and the angle scale on the table, making it easier to set the cutting position.
To increase cutting precision, IMET band saws are equipped with a system for detecting angular deviation from the center.
A mechanical material detection system ensures rapid approach to the material by automatically detecting the first contact point. The end of the cut is managed by a microswitch in the blade guide, ensuring precise blade alignment thanks to hardened rollers and auxiliary bearings.
All operating parameters and settings are controlled via an independent, mobile console with LED indicators for blade tension, blade guard, motor overheating, and electrical voltage monitoring.
The console allows setting of machine operating parameters such as band speed, lowering speed, and cycle end management (options include: bow return with stopped blade, bow return with moving blade, or cycle end without bow return).

Cutting performance can be further increased by using a 4 kW motor, a hydraulic blade tensioner, and a high-tension hydraulic system (2200 kg/cm²).
