The machine was purchased new by our company directly from Hermle in 2001, has been here ever since, and has been consistently used and maintained. Even though it's not the newest, this is a fantastic machine with 4.5 (!!!) axes. That means a full C-axis and an A-head that can be swiveled 0 and 90 degrees. This allows you to perform many 3+2 machining operations on this machine without having to switch directly to a 5-axis machine. The machine is in good condition for its age. We have serviced it regularly, and most recently in 2022, the machine received a new spindle and its geometry was laser measured. The logs and maintenance invoices are available upon request. The tool changer's lifting unit was also recently replaced. The machine still has a geared spindle with a maximum of 7000 rpm, but with plenty of torque in the lower speed range – you can easily cut M30 synchronously!
